Art Hoelke, Vice President & General Manager of Knight’s Armament Co. will share a best practice keynote presentation connecting the dots on the local training pathways from secondary education through manufacturing apprenticeships. The agenda will also include two panel presentations discussing manufacturing training foundations and Space Coast registered manufacturing apprenticeship programs.

About the Keynote Speaker:
Art Hoelke, Vice President & General Manager, Knight's Armament Co.
Mr. Hoelke manages the day to day operations of the company and directs the activities of all Vice Presidents. He reviews financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement. He directs and coordinates activities of business or departments concerned with the production, pricing, sales, and/or distribution of products. In addition, Mr. Hoelke manages the movement of goods into and out of production facilities. Has over 30 years of experience in armament processes which include many aspects of design, manufacturing, testing and quality control. Went to the Institute of Certified Professional Managers and the Machinist Apprentice Program in the State of Pennsylvania and received his Journeyman certificate. Also has completed the essentials of Industrial Security Management. Joining KAC in 1991, Mr. Hoelke has been with Knight’s Armament Company for over 25 years and has accumulated more than 30 years in the management and manufacturing industry.He is involved in many organizations including: Manufacturer’s Association of Central Florida (MACF), Manufacturer's Association of Florida (MAF), Career Source, Adult Ed and Florida’s Integrated Career and Academic Preparation System (FICAPS), Eastern Florida State College (EFSC), Brevard Public Schools (BPS), Florida Institute of Technology (FIT), STEAM Academy at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High School, Economic Development Commission (EDC), and local politicians. He attends different meetings including: AIM/ EFSC Industry Advisory Fall and ManufacturingAssociation of the Space Coast (MASC) Meeting, NASA HUNCH Design and Prototype Educators, Advanced Manufacturing Workforce Leadership Council (AMWLC) Meeting,MACF Monthly Board Meetings,and Sector Strategy Institute Advisory Council for the state of Florida. He has also hosted different events at Knight’s Armament Company including: Superintendent’s Advisory Council Meeting, FICAPS Advisory Committee/Adult Community Education Group Meeting, and an all-day MFG Day Tour for the STEAM Academy students at Space Coast Jr./Sr. High.
