Join the Manufacturers Association of Florida’s Space Coast (MASC) as we kick off Manufacturing Month 2018 at the 3nd Annual State of Manufacturing event on Wednesday, September 19 at 4:30 PM at Eau Gallie High School Aviation Hangar. This event celebrates modern manufacturing with a focus on inspiring the next generation of manufacturers and connecting to the community at large.

The agenda includes the MASC 2018 Manufacturing Champion Award recognition of state legislators, a State of Manufacturing keynote presentation James Heckman, Economist, Florida Department of Economic Opportunity and a behind the scenes tour of the brand new Eau Gallie High School Aviation Hangar. About James Heckman,
Florida Department of Economic Opportunity

James Heckman was born and grew up in Orlando, Florida. He moved to Tallahassee in 2009 to attend Florida State University, where he double majored in economics and political science. He earned his master's degree in applied economics in August of 2015 from FSU and has since worked as an Economic Consultant at the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, researching topics such as skill gaps in local labor markets and regional wage differences. He is now the manager of the Current Employment Statistics (CES) and Local Area Unemployment Statistics (LAUS) programs for the state of Florida.
